Blogs and Musings

My ongoing blog, Ewe and Shepherd, is where I plan to publish most consistently. It is a museum of my theological trains of thought, meditations, poetry, and writing updates.

I also manage an Instagram account, A Bright Aubade, where I post Tokyo- and/or faith-based creative works coupled with my own film photography.

My third and final blog is of a more personal nature and not as frequently updated, but if you wish to peruse my Tokyo life musings, feel free to do so at Prone to Wonder.

A Song for Recovery

The Clayjar Review

"When it wants to try again--when, when does the dawn

come back? The sky inhales, and I hear it spread,  laked

out, in the song of a whipporwill...."

Our Mortal Bodies Also

Theozine

Our bodies are not prisons that condemns us to sin. They have been designed with the glorious purpose of drawing us closer to God and others.

The Language of Rejoicing

Theozine

To enter into “the very sacrament of joy” in the Eucharist is to live one another’s experiences as though they are one’s own.

The Relationship between Travel and Creative Writing

The Artifice

Rilke’s travel was not only geographic, nor has mine been. Sometimes, traveling for me refers to crossing oceans and experiencing other countries; other times, I “travel” by picking up a book that challenges my personal philosophies or by pursuing a friendship with someone who possesses worldviews quite different from my own.
